Presidential Cup: No Vaccination, No entry has caused the 25% money promised Kotoko & Hearts to fall in the gutter – Details
Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak both took GHC 50,000 as the appearance fees for the 2022 Presidential cup.
The Accra and Kumasi based football clubs were, in addition, promised to be given an extra 25% money from the proceeds of the gate fees.
After the game, both clubs are yet to receive the agreed money which they were promised of.
Kessben Sports checks have however revealed that the 25% of the gate proceeds may continue to be a promise due to reasons revealed by the organizers of the game, GHALCA.
According to the organizers, after deducting all costs involved in organizing the game, there were losses which makes it impossible for the clubs to get their agreed 25%.
Due to the poor attendance on the night of the game, the gate was opened for free for the general public to patronize the game.
GHALCA also cited that the directive to allow only COVID 19 vaccinated people to come to the stadium was a major factor as to why the turnout was very low.
