15% increment of fares: Trotro mate nearly killed a passenger after fighting over 10 pesewas (Video)
A ‘Trotro’ conductor nearly ended the life of a passenger after a fight broke out between the two over the newly announced transportation fares.
The passenger was in a Circle-Achimota bound Trotro heading to Achimota when the unfortunate incident happened.
Accoding to an eye witness who spoke to Kwasi Ntiamoah on Kessben FM/TV, the two were fighting over 10 pesewas.
The eye witness noted that before the introduction of the new fares, the fare from Circle to Achimota was GHC2.50p and after the introduction of the 15% increament, some were charging GHC2.90 while some others were also taking GHC 3.00
The young passenger gave the Trotro conductor Ghc 3.00 and was expecting his balance of 10 Pesewas but the the ‘Trotro’ mate insisted that the fare is GHC3.00 This led to a heated exchanges between the two which is resulted into a fight.
