Abankwa Yeboah Attends B J Da- Rocha’s Book Launch
The hard-working and Omnipresent aspiring National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party Mr Kwabena Abankwa Yeboah, made time to feature at the late B J Da-Rocha Book Launch held at the Academy of Arts and Sciences in Accra on the 2nd of March, 2022. In the company of the General Secretary of the party, Mr John Boadu, the aspiring chairman got to the venue well ahead of time to the amazement of many attendants. In fact he was there long before the President of the country arrived. Spoting local fabric over black trouser and black shoes, he secured a seat behind Honourable Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng, the Minister of Trade and Industry. In order to fraternise with the crowd he went to pay courtesy visits to some party elders and gurus present at the ceremony ; Daavi Ama whom he later took picture with, Sheik I C Quaye whom he had a chat with, Hon Hackman Owusu Agyemang another party stalwart , and others. Courteously, he sat through the program till the end and continued his interaction and fraternisation with party elders and gurus. This is a function that was attended by the head of state ; Nana Addo Dankwa- Akufo Addo who was the Special Guest of Honour. The book launch was to showcase the biography and life Mr B J Da- Rocha ; his legal and political life in Ghana. The book was reviewed by Hon Joe Ghartey M P for Sekondi Ketan in the Western Region . The President of the Republic gave a brief history of the late Mr Da-Rocha ; his legal and political contribution to the Republic of Ghana ; his association and working relationship with late lawyer and politician. The General Secretary of NPP Mr John Boadu also gave a brief account of the late Mr Da -Rocha to surmise and eulogise the colossus who passed away about 12 years ago. During the auction of the book Madam Elizabeth Ohene who chaired the function, Mr Abankwa bought some copies himself and for others like Daavi Ama, and others. He continued his fraternisation with the party activists ; greeting everyone on sight. Indeed this is an aspirant who means business, ready to serve all people at any given time. Mr Abankwa confided in me that of late he hardly gets time to sleep as a result of calls and visits he gets on daily basis but, he assured all and sundry that he is ever ready to respond to all calls and visits since he is there for the party and its supporters. So undoubtedly this is a man who is prepared to sacrifice his sleep, health and time to attend to the people in the party irrespective of the price involved. I think, he is poised for victory and service , God be with him.
