The New Patriotic Party national treasurer aspirant KWABENA OPPONG FRIMPONG Alias Original China has extended words of goodwill to the party’s polling station aspirants. A release copied this online portal has the following details :

I salute you, Fellow Patriots!
I am highly delighted and privilege to extend my warm wishes and sincere congratulations to all and sundry, most especially our hardworking and dedicated party executives, party members, sympathizers, followers, activists across the length and breadth of our beloved country, for your selfless services and unwavering commitment to the cause of our great elephant fraternity, the New Patriotic Party.
I sincerely appreciate and cherish your unflinching love, loyalty and support that you have demonstrated for all these years.

As we approach this internal elections at the Polling Stations, Electoral Areas, Constituencies, Regional and National levels, I urge all party members to consider this exercise as very crucial to our firm collective resolution to break the 8-year political jinx that has characterized the nation’s political atmosphere.

Besides, this elections should be seen as the opportunity to commensurate the rich political history of our party which is worth of preservation but not merely as a decision time. It is my expectation and hope that election would be held and conducted in a transparent, smooth and civil manner.

Inarguably, it is our responsibility to preserve the democratic credentials of our party at all times. And this is yet another opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to this essential exercise in our party.

As the processes for the upcoming internal elections has just begun, starting from the various polling stations, we should all be mindful of the fact that this is a contest among members of the same family and it is a sharing of ideas but not sharing blows and blood and therefore we must approach this year’s internal elections with a sense of love and friendship befitting the party whose founding fathers championed democracy in Ghana and Africa as a whole.

We must therefore organize ourselves in this internal elections devoid of malice, rancour, name-calling, derogatory, unpalatable and uncivilized comments, personal attacks, unjustifiable allegations and all such unseemly conducts which has the tendency to divide our front and the unity of our party and threaten the love and cohesion we have achieved so far.

Let us be mindful and conscious of the fact that this is intra-party contest and when it is all over, we will need a united front and everyone on board to deliver victory for our Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition in the 2024 general elections in order to commensurate our slogan “breaking the 8′.

At all cost, we should protect our credentials, before, during and after this decisive moment, the basic principles of our party diligently.

Once again, I extend my kind greetings to all aspirants at all levels and wish each and everyone good luck in the upcoming elections and it is my fervent prayer that the good Lord will see us through as He has being ever merciful, gracious and loving to us in the past.

May God bless our homeland Ghana, and the New Patriotic Party, and make us great and strong.
