Super Clash: Details about the Journalist-turned referee who will officiate the Hearts vs Kotoko cracker

A Ghanaian journalist-turned referee Rustum Gameli Senorgbe will officiate the outstanding Premier League match between giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in the country’s Super Clash on Sunday.

Senorgbe, 37, has been handed the opportunity to highlight his profile as he takes charge of the biggest match of the Ghanaian calendar.

He will be assisted on the lines by Patrick Papala and Gilbert Adom Mensah.

Senorgbe, one of the rising referees in Ghana, has garnered enough experience for the big stage at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday

He worked as a sports journalist at Ho Premier in the Volta Region, where he worked primarily as their morning show host.

He started officiating in 2009 and has risen through the ranks to become a Class One referee.

Having been tipped to grab a FIFA badge, Senorgbe is expected to seize the moment and make a name for himself.

He completed his secondary education at Wesley Grammar in the country’s capital, Accra before proceeding to Evangelical Presbyterian University to pursue BSc. Integrated Development Studies.

He also hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Administration  from the Chartered from Institute of Management and Leadership in the USA.

The two Ghanaian heavyweights will go head-to-head at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Kotoko are leading their sworn rivals by a commanding 12 points and will seek to either widen or maintain the gap.
