Next Black Stars coach: GFA want Otoo Addo, Government want Chris Hughton – Details and more (Video)

The search for a head coach for the Ghana senior national football team, the Black Stars is still on after Milovan Rajevac was relieved of his duties as the Black Stars following a poor showing at the 2021 AFCON.

According to the checks by the Kessben Sports desk, the football association have held advanced negotiations with the assistant manager of Borussia Dortmund, Otoo Addo but the government want the job to be handed to Chris Hughton.

The assistant manager of Dortmund is in a pole position to land the job with him being the favourite amongst all considered by the GFA.

Meanwhile, the Government of Ghana through the ministry of sports also are in search of a gaffer to take the job.

Former Brighton coach, Chris Hughton has been linked with the vacant position. Chris flew to Ghana last Friday to hold negotiations with some Government representatives.

He was pictured in Ghana with the father of Chelsea footballer, Hudson Odoi having a conversation.

The ministry of sports who have held several discussions with Hudson Odoi for him to play for Ghana flew Hughton to Ghana to convince the Chelsea star to play for Ghana.

Hughson has always been on the shortlist of coaches in times past when the coaching job becomes vacant.
