Former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Central, Mr. Ebenezer Akuoko-Frimpong says the ruling NPP Government should focus on fixing the economy rather than thinking of how to retain power in 2024.
The former DCE speaking on Kessben Maakye with Kwame Appiah Kubi (Mr. Speaker) said the ruling party have given so much attention to their vested interest in retaining power at the expense of the struggles of the citizenry.
He stressed that it is impossible for the NPP to retain power with how they are managing the economy since they took over in 2016.
According to the former DCE, the ruling party is only breaking the eight with their bad economic management by increasing fuel prices.
As of January 17, 2022, the price of gasoline in Ghana stood at 6.93 Ghanaian cedis (GHS) per liter, corresponding to 1.12 U.S. dollars.
Mr. Akuoko is afraid by as time goes on under the stewardship of Akufo Addo, fuel prices may hit 8 cedis per liter.
