Sports Minister tells GFA to appoint Osei Kofi & Mohammed Poloo as interim Black Stars coach (Video)

Minister of sports, Hon Mustapha Ussif has suggested to the Ghana Football Association to appoint former players Rev. Osei Kofi and Mohammed Poloo as interim Black Stars coaches if coach Milovan Rajevac is sacked.

The sports ministry in a meeting with the Ghana Football Association on Friday 21st January 2022 after Ghana was crashed out of the 2021 AFCON, informed the football association to get rid of the Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac.

The Ghana Football Association is however reluctant to let the Serbian go due to the short period of time for a new coach to take over and prepare for the crucial world cup playoff game in March.

In the marathon meeting, the sports minister told the top brass of the football association to consider a local coach, particularly a former player of the Black Stars.

He recommended former Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak players Osei Kofi and Mohammed Poloo to be given the nod as interim coaches.
