Statement: Mary Posch-Oduro Sympathizes with Victims of Bogoso Appiate Explosion
My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of Bogoso Appiate incident.
I was put in a state of dumbstruck after hearing the news on Thursday 20th January, 2022 where the lives of many innocent souls have been lost, many are injured and others hospitalized as a result of grisly accident which occurred at Appiate in the Bogoso-Bawdie stretch in the Western Region.
In adding my voice to the many voices who are calling on the government to come to the aid of our brothers and sisters in Appiate, I am further urging the government to as a matter of urgency, provide shelter for the pupils and children who at the time of the incident, were out of the community for school.
These surviving pupils have lost their families and have no one to cater for them and that is why the government needs to attach urgency in dealing with issues pertaining to these pupils.
May the departed souls be kept in the bosom if the Most High God, speedy recovery for the injured and hospitalized and the surviving souls be comforted in this state of anguish.
I share with the surviving souls their sentiments and empathize with them in this trying moment.
May the good Lord be with the country and prevent future incidents of this kind forever and ever.
