‘I love Arsenal and I love my country’- Thomas Partey speaks after AFCON and Caraboa Cup exits

Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey, has reacted in disappointment after getting eliminated in two cup competitions within 48 hours.

The Black Stars deputy captain was part of Ghana’s team that exited the Africa Cup of Nations at the group stage on Tuesday, after a shocking defeat to debutant Comoros Island.

And two days later, he was sent off as Arsenal lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the semi final of the Caraboa Cup.

An unhappy Thomas Partey took to Instagram to express his disappointments of events in the last two days.

“I’m responsible for anything that happened and will take all the critics. I should be more intelligent not to get in a challenge already booked but this is my personality, I like to fight for every ball,” he wrote on his Instagram story.

“I love this club and I love my country even though things don’t always turn out the way I wanted, I will continue to work harder and make things right,” he added.
