Sim Registration: Security personnel beating us at service centres – Frustrated Ghanaians (Video)
There are massive turnouts at service centres of the Telecommunication Networks in Ghana following the Government’s directive for mobile phone users to re-register their sim cards with the Ghana card.
The registration is currently ongoing at various service centres of the Telecos.
According to the National Communication Authority, one may risk losing his or her sim card if not registered with the Ghana card after 31st March 2022.
This has caused panic in the system where many mobile phone users have thronged to the service centres to get their sim cards re-registered.
Many have to go home and come back during the following day due to the long queues at these service centres.
Some Ghanaians who spent the better part of their day at the MTN service centre in Kejetia were later told the network for the registration is down.
Others complained about the inhumane treatment by some of the security personnel at the MTN service centre in Kejetia.
According to most of them, they came all the way from outside Kumasi just to re-register their sim cards.
