NPP-UK Branch Chairman Honoured By NPP-UK Women’s Wing

The NPP UK Branch Chairman hopeful Mr. Andy Owusu, was recognised last night in London at the Women’s wing New Year Party.

Mr. Andy Owusu was presented with a citation for his tremendous and long standing support to the Branch party including the Women’s wing.

Presenting the citation to Mr. Andy Owusu, Madam Shirley Kyei who doubles as the Branch Women Organiser and now deputy CEO of Minerals Commission in Ghana was enthused with the sterling support the wing has enjoyed from Mr Andy Owusu be it monetary, professional advice and/or political guidance over the years and still doing it when called upon as needed.

The citation reads “Mr Andy Owusu, this citation is given in recognition of your invaluable contribution to advancement of women of Ghana and in particular, women in politics.

Furthermore, your service to the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection since 2017 is testament that gender parity is not just good for women but for every society which is serious about reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building governance.“

It further reads “On behalf of all women and, in particular, women in politics, the NPPUK Women’s Wing which you have loyally supported since 2010 would like to recognise commitment to thank you for your efforts.”

Mr Andy Owusu was grateful for the recognition, and with a selfless dedication to duty, promised to continue to do what comes naturally to him in making the NPP stronger. He pledged his unflinching support to the Women’s wing and their role in making the Branch party stronger.

The award strengthens Mr Andy Owusu’s determination with exact qualities needed now to lead the branch party. He is selfless, focused and giving as the Women’s wing attested to. The Branch Chairman hopeful, a true gem of gentlemen, honest and dedication to NPP is ready to serve with a clear vision, putting the branch party on a much higher pedestal.
