Statement :Season’s Greetings From The NPP
As Christians in Ghana and across the globe climax the birth of Christ, the NPP extends its warmest greetings of the season to all Christians and wishes them a joyous celebration. The birth of Jesus Christ, undoubtedly, marks an important milestone on the Christian calendar because of its great significance.
It is for this reason that the commemoration of this day is often characterized by, not only deep supplication to our Maker but also by merrymaking, symbolic decorations, social gatherings and almsgiving. Christmas is indeed a season of love and care especially for the needy in society. These were the virtues that Christ personified.
In the light of this, the NPP, on the occasion of the commemoration of this great season, humbly calls on all and sundry particularly people who subscribe to the Christian faith to show much love and care to the needy in order to give real meaning to the essence of Christmas.
The NPP also acknowledges that we are a country challenged by an eagerness for urgent solutions to the problems confronting our people which have been exacerbated by the socioeconomic impact of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
The Party however takes consolation in the fact that our government, ably led by President Akufo-Addo, has amply demonstrated the wherewithal to tackling the very challenges confronting the ordinary Ghanaian.
If for nothing at all, the budget of 2022, which has been, righty so, christened the ‘adwenkwa budget’, provides a clear pathway for the post Covid-19 socioeconomic rebound and transformation of our country, for sustained growth and prosperity. We therefore have everything to celebrate in this festive season and beyond.
May this Christmas end the year on a cheerful note and make way for a brighter and more prosperous New Year for our dear country.
Once again, MERRY CHRISTMAS and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR in advance.
Thank you.
…Signed…
JOHN BOADU
