‘Who should play to qualify for you to come and play at the World Cup? – Fmr Black Stars Player Mallam Yaya to Salisu and Co (Video)

Ever since Ghana qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Ghanaians are divided on whether the country should still pursue players who had apparently rejected call ups from the nation to play for Ghana Black Stars.

Players like Salisu Mohammed of Southampton, Inaki Williams of Athletico Bilbao and a few others have been considered by the national team handlers to get them at the Mundial for Ghana.

A section of Ghanaians are of the view that since some of these players rejected Ghana during the qualifies, there is no need to still pursue them to come and play for the Black Stars.

Others reckon the country must have their best players for the World Cup therefore if the players are willing to now play for Ghana, they must be considered.

Former Black Stars and King Faisal footballer, Mallam Yaya has added his voice to the subject matter opining that majority of the players who played the qualified must be made to represent the country at the Mundial.

The ex-footballer speaking on Kessben TV Sports commented that if the current players have been able to play and qualified the country for the World Cup, they are capable of doing well in the World Cup therefore the country should not attempt to bring in a new set of players.
