The majority didn’t have the numbers to approve the budget so they strategically walked out – Political scientist

According to Kojo Addo, a renowned political scientist, the majority caucus in Parliament on Friday did not have enough numbers to have approved the 2022 budget.

Mr. Kojo Addo speaking on Breaking News on Kessben FM/TV noted that the majority strategically walked out to avoid any decision on the budget but their move backfired.

The speaker of Parliament went on with proceedings as he held a vote which saw the minority caucus rejecting the budget.

The majority however insist the budget has not been constitutionally rejected with how the speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin went on with proceedings without recourse to article 104 which says a quorum must have been formed.

Kojo Addo condemned some attitudes of Ghanaian parliamentarians who do not consider the supreme interest of the nation but their selfish interest.
