Yentua Demo: Demonstrators blocked from entering Parliament (Video)

Demonstrators of the ‘Yentua’ demonstration were denied from entering the Parliament of Ghana to present their petition to the house.

According to a report by Kessben FM’s Derrick Kwame Barfi, all the demonstrators had wanted to enter the Parliament House but were denied entry.

The security at the Parliament house is reported to have informed the demonstrators to select only 10 people to present the petition to the house.

A leading convener of the demonstrators, Okatakyie Yaw Afriyie speaking on Kessben TV said the decision not to allow them to enter the Parliament house defeats the purpose of Democracy.

He stressed that those in Parliament were selected by the very people they represent in Parliament.
