Security men at the ‘Kejetia Dubai’ market have gone 4 months without pay, threaten strike (Video)
Some of the security personnel at the New Kejetia Market say it has been closed to four months without being paid by their employers.
According to them, they have been working for the last 100 days without salary and will be striking in the next month (December) if their concerns are not responded to.
Some of them speaking with Kessben TV noted that the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly holds the responsibility of paying them but has failed to honour their responsibility.
Even though they would not reveal the amount of money they are paid to guard the new month, they emphasized that it is too small to be left in arrears.
One of them told our reporter, Kwasi Ntiamoah that if the salaries are not paid this week, they will be forced to go on strike.
