Speaking on Kessben FM with host Fante Quoo, Abi Emma, the keyboardist of the late gospel legend Yaw Sarpong shared a powerful reflection that has since resonated with many listeners. Speaking fondly about the man he served for years, the musician described Yaw Sarpong as a leader whose kindness and generosity often went beyond the moment.

According to the keyboardist, if Yaw Sarpong promised you GHC500 after a show and it didn’t come immediately, it was never a loss. “He will later give you GHC5000,” he said, using the statement to illustrate the late maestro’s heart for people and his habit of turning delays into greater blessings.

He highlighted Yaw Sarpong’s deep sense of responsibility toward his band members and his belief in rewarding loyalty, patience, and hard work. Many who worked closely with him, the keyboardist noted, experienced similar acts of unexpected generosity.
