We’re starving – Youth in Afforestation cry over months of unpaid salaries (Video)

Some beneficiaries of Youth in Afforestation programme on Wednesday stormed the premises of Kessben FM/TV to appeal to the government over their unpaid salaries.

According to one of their leaders, Prince Atta Owusu, it’s been close to five months without salaries, yet they have been working.

Prince Owusu Ansah divulged that the salaries of some supervisors in the Youth in Afforestation Program were slashed this year, with the hope that payment of salaries were going to be consistent but it’s been worse.

“We want to know what’s is happening. We’ve been working for months now without being paid. We want to know whether it’s the authorities or the government”

“We got a reduction in our salaries for beneficiaries who applied with HND. We were told that the government wanted to align the program with NABCO so that we all take the same amount but it’s been worse after that” He stressed.
