I’m too religious to involve in betting – Dr. Kwaku Frimpong opens up on betting allegations
The Bankroller of the Obuasi-based football club, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has reacted to allegations about the club being involved in match-fixing games for betting purposes.
Dr. Kwaku Frimpong completely rubbished the claims suggesting Ashantigold football club is being used by a betting syndicate to fix games.
Ashantigold football club is currently facing the Ghana Football Association’s disciplinary committee following their 7-0 win against Inter Allies in a premier league game last season which is alleged to have been fixed.
The executive chairman in an interview with Kessben TV noted that under no circumstances will he sit for the club to be used in fixing games for betting.
Dr. Kwaku Frimpong underscored his religious background as a staunch Christian will not even permit him to be involved in such a sin.
