You’re ignorant if you think Ashanti businessmen don’t pay tax – Charles Kusi Appiah Charles

Charles Kusi Appiah says people who think Ashanti region Businessmen don’t pay their taxes are probably not aware of the business dynamics in Ashanti Region.

Executive Secretary for Ashanti Businessmen Owners Association, Charles Kusi Appiah in reaction to the claims made on Ashanti businessmen for not paying tax underscored anyone who makes an argument that Ashanti Businessmen don’t pay tax is probably been misled and not aware of the business dynamics in the Ashanti Region.

He further explained that Ashanti Region does not have a port hence all items or goods received in the Ashanti Region pass through the Tema harbour that is located in the Greater Accra Region, therefore all duties are paid there.

He also said that if there should be a port in the Ashanti region, under no circumstance will they make any payment in Accra since all payments will be made in the Ashanti region.

According to him, all banks located in the Ashanti Region head office are in Accra hence tax payments are made there respectively.

Charles Kusi Appiah stressed that Ashanti Businessmen pay their taxes.
