The landlady of the Ashanti Regional NPP office reportedly stormed the edifice at Krofrom in Kumasi to disrupt a TESCON meeting.
The Ashanti regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party in an extensive interview with Kessben FM/TV however debunked claims that the party owes the landlady.
According to Chairman Wontumi, it is just a conspiracy to paint him black ahead of the regional elections.
Wontumi noted that he rented the house to be used for the party office years ago for 10 years.
He emphasized that after renting the building, he had renovated the building for which both parties agreed in principle that it also should affect the number of years hired.
Emotional Wontumi noted that he has sacrificed a lot for the NPP party but is unfortunate how some party folks want to dent his image because of the upcoming elections.
