CODA Credit Union Starts Disbursement Of Funds To Beneficiaries
The Coastal Development Authority is set to begin disbursement of funds to subscribers of the CODA Credit Union on Wednesday, November, 17, 2021, as part of a six-month pilot implementation phase.
A total of six hundred (600) subscribers will receive GHS2,000 each, having met minimum shareholding requirement of contribution of GHS100 each.
At the end of the pilot phase, the CODA Credit Union will make disbursements to all other subscribers.
The Authority remains committed to alleviating the plight of the vulnerable within the Coastal Development Zone, particularly petty traders, fishers, farmers, mechanics and other players in the informal sector through the implementation of initiatives tailored to eradicate poverty and empower families such as the CODA Credit Union, CODA Drive, CODA Porters Empowerment, CODA Health Train, CODA Farmers
Support initiative, distribution of outboard motors to fishers at subsidised prices, and distribution of facemasks and hand sanitisers to the most vulnerable in the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19, among others.
