Benchmark Value policy: GUTA warns of 25% increase in the price of goods if policy is reversed

The president of Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations, Joseph Obeng has said that they can not accommodate any layer of tax due to the high tax rate with the inception of the Covid 19 pandemic.

According to him, the government since 2019 exceeded its revenue target.

He has therefore called on the government not to increase tax since they can’t afford it.
