Wontumi does not own 110 Kejetia stores – Spokesperson
Duncan Opoku Boateng, spokesperson for Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has debunked claims of alleged hijacking of 110 stores in Kejetia by the Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman.
According to him, there’s no truth and accuracy in the accusations made about chairman Wontumi and it’s inappropriate to treat an internal party member most especially for contributing positively to the growth of the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) in that manner.
He explained that the Kejetia stores are government property and not for the NPP and under no circumstance can individuals claim ownership.
He further explained that Chairman Wontumi is only a Steward for the government and not the NPP and some people have raised these accusations because they are jealous of him and want to take his position.
Duncan Opoku Boateng said “If chairman Wontumi wants any of the stores, he can speak with the former KMA boss, Mr Osei Assibey Antwi or Sam Pyne. “I am not defending him because I am his PRO, you can ask Osei Assibey and Sam Pyne for the truth”
He expressed his concerns that some media personnel should stop tainting the image of chairman Wontumi and also investigate the issue before giving their thoughts on it since he has no issues with the media.
He, therefore, eulogies Kessben Media for seeking the truth in the said issues and has called on others to investigate thoroughly on the matter in order to get the truth.
