A/R: Old woman breaks into a fuel station & steal GHC 3000, says the hardship is unbearable (Video)
A woman in her sixties has been arrested after stealing GHC 3000 from a fueling station at Trede in the Ashanti region.
During interrogation by the police after she was nabbed, the old woman stated the current hardship coupled with the suffering she’s enduring led her to steal the money.
Asumadu Darkwah reporting from Trede, told Ali Baba Dankambari on Breaking News that the woman bagged into the manager’s office around 5 pm on Tuesday.
“When she got to the fueling station, she went straight to the manager’s office and no one was at the office except the manager’s child who had closed from school.
The child insisted to call her mother to come to the office but the woman insisted she was not a stranger. She found a purse in the office and took the money from the purse and just walked away.
The manager later came to the office and realized there’s no money in the purse. The child then told her mother who came into the office and she was quickly chased and caught. She has been picked by the police” Said Asumadu.
By the time she was caught, she had already spent Ghc70 out of the Ghc3000.
According to the old woman, she came from Accra to visit her children who are in the Ashanti region.
