I am a man of continuity – New President of GMA, Dr Frank Serebour
The newly elected President of the Ghana Medical Association, Dr Frank Serebour says he is a man of continuity and he will therefore continue whatsoever he came to meet.
According to him, the ultimatum issued to the government is from the labour commission and not the GMA. He explained that, about two months ago, the labour commission resolved to embark on a strike if the government do not implement the conditions of their services.
According to him, the labour commission along with the GMA and the government had a meeting where some issues were brought up and they had solutions to some of the issues.
He further explained that the labour commission has given the government a two-month ultimatum to attend to the two pending issues and he strongly believes that the government will heed to their demands since the government has resolved a lot of issues after they had discussions with them.
Responding to a question on Bekwai hospital, Dr. Serebour indicated on ‘Maakye’ on Kessben FM that, currently the Bekwai hospital in the Ashanti Region is in a good state but looking forward to completing maintenance of the hospital and need more dedicated workers to run the place smoothly.
