Make Ghana Proud – Lawyer Urges Ghanaian Students Studying In Saudi Arabia

A UK-based Ghanaian lawyer, Solomon Salifu Tampuri has urged Ghanaian students studying on scholarship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to make Ghana proud by making good use of the opportunity given them.

He said they must justify the huge investment being made in them by the Saudi Government by focusing on their studies to be able to achieve their objectives for which they are in the country.

Mr. Tampuri gave the advice when he met 132 Ghanaian students studying at the Islamic University of Madinah as part of his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He reminded them that it was by the grace of Allah that they had the opportunity to study in the prestigious university out of over 30 million Ghanaians back home.

He said many people around the world had been looking for the privilege to study in the Islamic University of Madinah over the years and urged them not to let the opportunity they go waste.

“Some of you can’t afford to study abroad but with the mercy of Almighty you have been enrolled with full-time scholarship to study,” he stated.

“Remember Ghanaians need your services back home after  your completion ( graduation ) and also remembered you are Ambassadors because you are representing mother Ghana,” he added.

He entreated them not to focus too much on money but rather concentrate on their studies, saying that a lot of opportunities awaited them upon successfully completing their studies.
