Ex-convict remanded for stealing mobile phones

The Winneba District Magistrate Court, has remanded an ex-convict into prison custody for unlawful entry and stealing two mobile phones.
Joshua Ghansah, 23, pleaded guilty and is to re-appear before the court on August 10.

Police Inspector Peter Agbelie told the Court presided over by Mr Alexander Oware that Kobina Mensah and Kofi Mensah both live in the same
house at the Roman School area in Winneba while the accused is unemployed and a native of Gomoa Awombirew.

He said the accused had just returned from prison after serving a three months sentence for stealing two mobile phones at Fetteh, a community in Winneba.
The prosecution said on July 31 at about 0300 hours, the accused unlawfully entered the rooms of the complainants while they were asleep and stole
their mobile phones valued at GH₡ 60.00 each.
