NPP government doing better than the NDC with regards to digitalization – Eric Ntow, Head of I.T, NPP

Head of I.T at the NPP, Eric Nana Ntow says the initiative taken by the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the Digitalization of the Ghanaian economy is of a good course which all and sundry must embrace.

The Vice President on November 2, 2021, stated that ‘Ghana card will by the end of the first quarter of 2022 be accepted as an e-passport in 197 borders globally and 4000 airports in the world.

In an interview with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on ‘Maakye’ breakfast show, Eric Nana Ntow encouraged Ghanaians to register for their Ghana cards.

According to him, the NPP government has done well in terms of digitalization, compared to the NDC government.

He explained that, during the governance under the NDC government, some citizens of Ghana had a lot of challenges in having their cards.

“We have developed the Ghana card into ECOWAS card which has made it possible for Member States to move around the ECOWAS arena, serving as a residency permit, or a passport at the airports.”

He added that SSNIT cards, NHIS cards, TIN numbers have been integrated for one card to serve multiple purposes.

He noted in this 21st century, we live in is a digital world. ‘Ghanaians should therefore embrace one card serving so many purposes.

He advised that Ghanaians should put away politics and face the reality of digitalization.
