JUABEN: Chief did not order Assemblymen to beg, Akufo-Addo nominee loses again

The Chief registrar of the Juaben palace, Kwaku Ankoma Asare has debunked speculated reports suggesting the Omanhene of Juaben ordered the Assemblymen of the area to beg after they rejected the MCE nominated by the President, Nana Akufo Addo.

In trending pictures online, the Assemblymen of Juaben are seen on their knees begging at the Palace of the Juaben Omanhene.

Speaking on the widely trended photos on Breaking News with Ali Baba, Mr. Kwaku Ankoma explained that the Assemblymen apparently came to the office of the Omanhene for him to intervene and ensure that the impasse of the MCE elections is resolved.

According to the chief registrar of the Palace, all the parties involved met with the Omanhene and the matter was put to rest until the Assemblymen went ahead again to organize a press conference regarding the elections without recourse to the chief who had earlier met them.

Mr. Kwaku Ankoma noted that the Assemblymen realizing their guilt had to come back to the palace to apologize to the Omanhene through his Gyasehene who asked them to go on their knees to render the apology as customs demand.

The election which couldn’t be run last Friday was held on Monday morning with the Nominee Alex Sarfo getting 10 yes votes, 15 no votes with 1 rejected.
