Trotro and Taxi drivers jubilate as Military attack Police in a clash at Suame (Video)

There were chaotic scenes at the Suame Roundabout in Kumasi after a number of military men stormed the Suame Police station on Friday morning.

According to Kessben FM’s reporter Osempakani Sampson, a policeman from the Suame police command had apparently stopped a car with DV number plate for questioning but the driver of the vehicle did not obey the instruction of the police until ‘force’ was applied.

A misunderstanding ensued between the driver of the DV vehicle who happens to be a military man but was not in a military uniform.

It is reported that after the military man got down from the vehicle, the police officer gave him a deep punch.

The military man who was allegedly assaulted sought refuge by calling some of his colleagues who stormed the police station to deal with the policeman who assaulted their colleague.

The police on the other end also called for reinforcement from the central police command as tension rose high.

The scenes left many passerby’s standing for minutes to witness the chaotic drama. Meanwhile, the Taxi and Trotro drivers who ply the Suame roundabout route were in a jubilant mood commending the Military for dealing with the police who have been giving them headaches when working.

The policeman who punched the military man we are told is currently at Hospital receiving treatment after he was pointed out and battered by the military.
