Dr. Kwame Kyei still at post, Otumfuo warns and calls for respect – full gist
The life patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Otumfuo Osei Tutu II held a meeting with the BoD members of the club on Tuesday, 12th October 2021, Kessben Sports has gathered what transpired.
The meeting saw all the BoD members in attendance with the exception of Dr. Kofi Abban who apparently communicated his unavailability.
The life patron of the club asked the BoD members of the club to work together for a common goal for the club. Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during the meeting admonished some of the BoD members to respect the BoD chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei.
The life patron emphasized that no one has the right to organize a meeting within the BoD with the exception of the chairman of the BoD.
Dr. Kwame cited a number of reasons to resign from his post indicating that he’s pumped so much money into the club with no returns in the last 3 years.
Our sources within Manhyia say the BoD chairman of the club pleaded with the life patron of the club to resign from his position as the BoD chairman but Otumfuo Osei Tutu the 2nd did not accept his resignation.
He asked Dr. Kwame to go and continue his work as the BoD chairman of the club and reiterated to the other BoD members to accord all respect and support to Dr. Kwame Kyei.
