I don’t think Ghanaians are ready for Bawumia, Alan will lead, Mahama can’t be president again – Kofi Akpalu

The flag bearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) Mr. Kofi Percival Akpalu has stated Alan Kyeremanteng stands a better chance of leading the National Patriotic Party in the 2024 General elections.

Mr. Kofi Akpalu reckons Ghanaians especially the followers of the New Patriotic Party are not ready for a northerner to lead the party for now.

Speaking on Maakye with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on Kessben FM/TV, the flag bearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana underscored that the Ghanaian is more inclined to choose a Voltarian like him.

“I don’t think Ghanaians are ready for Bawumia. Ghanaians are not ready for a northerner now. They are not ready because they want a Voltarian like me” He stressed.

According to him, it is destined for the trade minister, Kwadwo Alan Kyeremanteng to take over from President Akufo- Addo who will exhaust his 8-years in 2024.

“What God says is always the final. There is no need to stretch this. After Akufo-Addo it is Alan, Alan Kyeremanteng is going to lead’ He added.

Reacting to the threat posed by the former president John Dramani Mahama on the NPP ambition to break the eight agenda, Kofi Akpalu ruled out the former president and stated he can never be president again.
