Kotoko’s Youth team project is taking full effect after Gazele returns from Southampton – David Obeng Nyarko
Communication and brands manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, David Obeng Nyarko has revealed the club’s youth team project will commence after their assistant coach Abdul Gazele returns from the UK.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s assistant coach Abdul Gazele is currently out of the country in the UK having a training program with their partner, Southampton Football Club.
The assistant coach flew to the UK together with the brands and communication manager of the club for a month training program last week.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been signing a lot of young players as part of their preparation for the season ahead. Kumasi Asante Kotoko has so far announced the signing of seven young players namely, Samuel Appiah, Richmond Lamptey, Maxwell Agyemang, Richard Boadu, Isaac Oppong, Clinton Opoku, and Samuel Samuel Boateng.
In a Facebook chat, Ray Charles Marfo asked the Communication and Brands manager of Kotoko the plan ahead for the signed young players at Kotoko. David Obeng Nyarko responded by saying Asante Kotoko is not doing something different from the Borussia Dortmund module.
“These young guys are first-team players just like BVB signed Jude at a young age for the first team. The youth team project will kick start after coach Gazele’s attachment with Southampton” He said.
The Kumasi-based football club have so far signed 7 young players and are still in talks to sign more players.
