Let Us Forgive Ourselves And Work Together To Break The Eight – Mary Posch-Oduro Advises TESCON Ladies

Doubt everything in the world but never doubt yourself and your capabilities. These were the words of Madam Mary Posch-Oduro, the aspiring national treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming national elections scheduled to take place in 2022 when she addressed the Tertiary Students Confederacy of NPP (Tescon) University of Ghana Women’s Commission Mega Conference which took place on Thursday 23rd September, 2021 at the University of Ghana, Law Auditorium.

Speaking on the theme, Breaking the Eight: The strategic positioning of Tescon ladies, Ms Posch-Oduro told the gathering to be faithful and loyal to the NPP and take advantage of the good policies His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has introduced for the advancement of women. She said “we have a president who loves Ghanaian women and has their welfare at heart and it is for the women to appreciate and take advantage”.

Using her life as an example, Mary Posch advised the ladies never to doubt their capabilities as to what they can achieve in life. She also admonished the party members not to hold grudges against anyone but to forgive each other and work together to be able to break the eight. She stated that we are all human and we are bound to offend ourselves but we must learn first to forgive ourselves and then forgive those who offend us especially government appointees.

The gathering brought together many high ranking officials of the party including the member of parliament for Ayawaso West wuogon constituency Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Professor Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi, regional women organiser Grace Acheampong, Mr Bright Essilfie, Executive Director of Danquah Institute, MD of SIC life Limited, Mr Richard Ahiagba and many more.

Mary Posch’s popularity was not in doubt when she arrived at the venue. Evidently, party faithfuls have accepted her as the next national treasurer of the party. In the previous election, even though a new entrant, she pulled significant votes at the congress. Now the slogan is no one makes a good treasurer than a woman and not just any woman but one who has distinguished herself creditably in life both as a business owner and a mother.
God bless us all.
