Be ready for good football from coach Prosper Nartey – Jordan Opoku to Kotoko players

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Jordan Opoku has advised players of Asante Kotoko to be more disciplined as they have commenced a working relationship with their new head coach Prosper Ogun Nartey.

Jordan, who worked with the former WAFA coach says coach Prosper Ogun Nartey is a disciplinarian who does not joke with his work ethic.

Speaking on Kessben FM extra time sports show, the former Asante Kotoko midfielder noted that Dr. Prosper Ogun Nartey will be very helpful to the Asante Kotoko project.

“He’s a very good coach and I’m convinced he’s going to help Asante Kotoko. His style as a coach is about possessing the ball, something which Asante Kotoko has been lacking over the years.”

”If you look at the matches Asante Kotoko played in the just-ended season, you see that Kotoko lacked the ability to hold on to the ball for even two minutes, and in the modern game right now if you can’t possess the ball that much, you will be found wanting” He said.

“What I can tell the players is that they have to be very disciplined. He’s a disciplinarian and if you are not disciplined as a player, you may have a problem with him” Jordan noted.

Jordan Opoku rejoined WAFA last May to commence his coaching career. He’s currently working as part of trainers at the Youth side of the West African Football Academy.
