Death of my brother inspired me to start music – OV
OV, the winner of season 7th MTN Hitmaker, has revealed that her brother’s death sparked her inspiration to start doing music professionally.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Music Plus, she noted that she was very close with her late brother revealing after her brother’s passing, she chose to distance herself a bit from her family because she had fears another relative loss might be too painful to bear and could even drive her insane.
She clarified that she’s not discussing her brother to gain sympathy or attract listeners to her music.
She further said, after the incident, she felt disconnected, avoided friends, battled depression, and hallucinations, and was on the brink of death.
OV underscored that with the help of God and family, she eventually found herself back with music.
