Neglected Child drowns in Apokariso stream
A girl child whose age is unknown has drowned in the stream of Apokariso at Obuasi.
According to a report by Kessben FM’s Isaac Antwi, the last time Safiatu was seen at home was last Saturday. Since her disappearance from the house, the parent has shown much concern to look for the whereabouts of their child until a report of a drowned child emerged.
The report suggested that the parents of Safiatu had also heard the news of a drowned child so they went to the scene to have a glimpse of what has happened and to their dismay, it was their child.
“From eyewitnesses, it believed he fell in the stream. She left home on Saturday which the parents have no idea where she was. We can’t actually tell how she got drowned. The criminal investigation department has begun an investigation and we are all waiting for what will come out when the autopsy is concluded”
