Mahama Is Not For Violence – Kwakye Ofosu
A former Deputy Minister of Information, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has said that former President John Dramani Mahama’s do-or-die comment does not mean he is violent.
He said Mr Mahama presided over the 2026 general election when he was president, an election he observed, was without casualties.
“President Mahama presided over the most peaceful elections in Ghana’s history in 2012 and 2016.Not a fly was hurt.,” he said in a Facebook in response to the reaction to Mr Mahama’s comments.
He added “President Akufo-Addo presided over the most violent and deadliest elections in Ghana’s history in 2020.Eight Ghanaians were slaughtered by state agents.”
Meanwhile, Founding President of Imani Africa, Mr Franklin Cudjoe has rejected the do-or-die affair comment made by Mr Mahama in relation to the 2024 elections.
He equated this comment to the widely condemned all-die-be-die comment made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo when he was in opposition.
Mr Cudjoe in a Facebook post said “John Mahama, respectfully your ‘do or die’ comment is in the same league as Nana Addo’s ‘All die be die’. Not cool.
