A native of Atwima HWIDIEM in the Atwima Kwanwoma District has initiated an education endowment fund, called HWIDIEM Education and Career Assistance Foundation for school children in the area. The motive of the foundation is to help needy students in be the community to go to school.
Engineer Isaac Tenkorang said he and some colleagues from Atwima HWIDIEM have decided to establish the foundation to improve the educational standard of students at Hwidiem.
He called on the beneficiaries to show appreciation for the gesture by studying hard so they can also become useful citizens capable of also supporting the generation after them.
Engineer Tenkorang also appealed to the parents of the beneficiaries to ensure that their wards take their studies seriously. He provided a personal money of 1,500 Ghana Cedis as seed money for the foundation.
Other residents complimented the Local Government and Rural Development Ministry’s Engineer Tenkorang’s donation with 500ghc ,to raise the total seed money to 2,000 Ghana Cedis.
