All Eyes on NPP-USA Branch: The Decisive Endorsement Awaits

As Ghana’s political scene heats up ahead of the NPP Presidential Primary Election on November 4th, all eyes are set on the NPP-USA Branch, a powerhouse in political insight and a political barometer and forerunner in electoral predictions.

With a legacy of steadfast commitment to the democratic principle of One-Member One-Vote (OMOV), the branch’s internal poll is eagerly awaited, not just within its ranks but across all of Ghana.

Spanning across the 275 constituencies of Ghana, with a significant voting center at the esteemed Party Headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra, the NPP’s Presidential Primary race is reaching its climax. However, a major twist in this electoral narrative is the unique voting approach adopted by NPP-USA Branch in making her decision on which candidate gets our votes.

While members of NPP in Ghana traditionally allow delegates to vote primarily at their own discretion, the NPP-USA Branch firmly believes in a different philosophy. Adhering to the notion that a delegate represents the collective voice of a group rather than individual wishes, the Branch over the years has instituted an internal election process to make that decision that is reflective of what majority of her members want.

Members in good standing will receive unique user IDs and passwords, gearing up for a voting process that embodies their faith in the OMOV principle.
The stakes are high. The candidate emerging as the top choice in the NPP-USA internal poll will secure all twelve (12) delegate votes from the Branch. This unanimous support is not just a show of solidarity but a testament to the Branch’s democratic ethos.

The NPP-USA’s track record in electoral insights is commendable, having consistently predicted the choice of Presidential Candidate through its rigorous internal voting mechanism. While the Branch maintains a neutral stance during internal party elections, it is unwavering in its commitment to empowering members to express their leadership preferences.

Our electronic voting system is all set up and operational. Voting will commences October 31st. 2023 at promptly 7 pm EST (11 pm GMT), with four hundred and four (404) members in good standing eligible to participate in the exercise.
