Jailing is the only effective antidote to Hooliganism in Ghana football – GK Manu
Chairman of the Referee Association of Ghana in Ashanti Region, retired Referee GK Manu is calling on the Ghana Football Association to start jailing hooligans.
According to the RAG chairman, the only effective way left to handle and wipe out hooliganism in football is to ensure culprits are jailed.
GK Manu speaking in an interview with Kessben Sports tasked the Football Association to make it a habit to jail culprits rather than the usual fines and ban. “The football association is doing well with how they trying to fight hooliganism but what I can say is that they should start punishing the culprits with jail terms.
They should punish them severely so that it will serve as a scapegoat. The usual fines and ban punishments do not really change anything. The way things are going with this hooliganism, by next year it may be harder, let’s jail them to solve the problem entirely” He said.
