Hearts submit final list for CAF Champions League campaign without Benjamin Afutu
Ghanaian Champions, Accra Hearts of Oak have submitted a list of players for the 2021-22 Caf champions league to the Confederation of African football without the name of the dynamic midfielder Benjamin Afutu, Kessben sports can state.
Afutu, has left the Accra-based football club after negotiations of renewal of contract hit snug. Accra Hearts of Oak was very keen to extend the contract of Benjamin Afutu who helped the Phobians to clinch their first Premier League title in ten years.
Sources say the midfielder was willing to stay but offers coming from abroad could not be matched to what Accra Hearts of oak were willing to pay for him to stay.
Accra Hearts of oak have reached an agreement to replace Afutu with Salim Adams, a youngster from New Edubiase football club to strengthen the team as they prepare to play their Guinean opponent, Indusrriel Kamsar next month.
