Kotoko supporters to demonstrate over management’s rift with Board

The national circles’ chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Christopher Damanya has indicated that the supporters of the club will soon demonstrate and match to Manhyia Palace over an impasse between the management and the Board members appointed by Otumfour Osei Tutu II.

The tension between the Nana Yaw Amponsah led management and the Board headed by Dr. Kwame Kyei seems to be diversely affecting the Kumasi-based football club.

According to the local media, both are currently having hot blood, with a tattered relationship. Nana Yaw Amponsah in a recent radio interview could not speak any good about his employer when quizzed about his relationship with Dr. Kwame Kyei. “Do you have two hours for us to talk about that” Nana Yaw Amponsah retorted when he was asked about his relationship with his boss.

Apparently, the CEO also feels his boss Dr. Kwame Kyei’s radio station in Kumasi has been running him down. The relationship keeps getting ugly by day which has also caused a division among the Kotoko supporters.

Christopher Damanya, speaking to a reporter of Kessben FM at the club’s training grounds at Adako Jachie, during a tour of the training facility sounded a strong caution that if the conflict is not resolved within the next 3 weeks, the supporters are going to demonstrate.
