Tamale Technical University Launches SRC Week Celebration
The students Representative Council of Tamale Technical University launched their week celebration with the theme, THE RECOVERY OF THE NATION FROM THE CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC; THE ROLE OF TAMALE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS”
The occasion was under the chairmanship of ZAGBANG NAA MAHAMA ALAN BURNS BUKARI
HON HAJIA MARIAM IDDRISU MCE SAGNARIGU MUNICIPAL AS THE GUEST OF HONOR.
The MCE apparently said, the delta variant of COVID-19 Virus puts to the world on tenterhooks. This new variant is said to be 200 times more infectious than the original virus. It is said to also present very few symptoms. Its escalation is also rapid, therefore giving very small window for case management. Currently, Ghana is registering over four cases a day, most of the delta Variant. This should be a cause for concern for all.
Hon Hajia Mariam also informed the students of the government intervention program, known as GHANA COVID-19 Alleviation and Revitalization of Enterprise Support (GHANA CARES) to ensure that the economy fully recovers and puts the nation on the path of growth and prosperity.
The program will invest one hundred billion Ghana Cedis in to the economy, which will also create over a million jobs.
Mr. Alhassan Mashood SRC President outline plans to do justice to the theme of our week celebration, we shall embark on a street carnival, health walk, among other thrilling and entertaining sports activities to boast our immune system to fight the corona virus.
The SRC will also provide hand sanitizers, tissues, nose mask and other safety kits which will be manufactured and produced by our students.
The SRC President declared 26th -31 July, 2021 the SRC WEEK CELEBRATION.
