Kessben FM’s Andy Kirm invited by GFA to testify in betting investigation

Sports Journalist with Kessben Media, Andy Kirm has been invited by the Ghana Football Association to assist in investigations following alleged fixed matches that occurred in the recently ended Ghana premier league.

Andy Kirm was invited together with other two sports journalists, Atta Poku of Wontumi FM and Saddick Adams of Angel FM.

This comes after 80% of the games played in the last round of the Ghana premier league were allegedly reported to have been fixed.

The major highlight being the Ashantigold vrs Inter Allies game at Obuasi where Ashantigold beat Inter Allies 7-0. A defender of Inter Allies deliberately scored two own goals which clearly depicted an act of a fixed game.

The player is reported to have said he scored those two own goals to foil the apparently predetermined scoreline.

There have been other games where such incidents have been reported occurred according to these sports journalists, aiding stakers to Cash out with their bets on the Ghana premier league.

The football association has said they are ready to bite with the laws on whoever is found culpable, thus this needs to thoroughly investigate the issues.
