Nkoranza North MP’s life threatened over DKM saga
The life of the Member of Parliament for the Nkoranza North Constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region, Major Derek Oduro, is in danger after he received a letter threatening to kill him, if he does not stop fighting for his constituents whose investments have been swindled by the DKM microfinance company.
The DKM Diamond and God is Love Fun Club, are believed to have duped their customers of millions of cedis in the Brong Ahafo Region and the northern parts of the country.
Major Derek Oduro has been very vocal on the matter and he among other MPs whose constituents were duped, are putting pressure on stakeholders of the financial sector and government, to ensure that the customers get their monies back.
However, a letter from an unidentified source addressed to Major Oduro cited by Citi News, threatened to pursue him and end his life if he does not stop fighting for his people.
The letter, which has no name of the sender further warned Major Oduro to desist from organizing any press conference in Nkoranza or have himself to blame.
“I want to inform you that we will not allow you to organize any press conference in Nkoranza. We will chase you anywhere you go and finish you. When you are in your grave, come back and fight for DKM or God Is Love money for your people. If you are dead, come back and organize people to throw water at your DCE. If you can come back from your grave, tell Bank of Ghana and the Government to pay back the money to the people. Your days are numbered. Thank you, dead goat,” the letter added.
