My late mum told me not to replace my knee – Stonebwoy
BET Award winner, Stonebwoy was on Starr Fm yesterday with Anita Erskine and has revealed that he has more or less not taken heed to his late mum’s instruction not to replace his knee.
According to Stonebwoy, he and his late mum deliberated over the knee replacement issue for quite a long time before she kicked the bucket.
He said, “I know I’ve disobeyed my mother for replacing my knee. We’ve been going back and forth about this issue. She told me again, and again, to just leave it as it is. It get’s to a point in time that I’ve even decided to leave it as it is but different thoughts kept running through my brain leading to the final decision to finally replace the knee. But I know she will be happy that I’ve still gone ahead to do the knee replacement.”
When the host asked whether it’s not because of the Live Fm issue that finally signaled him to go for the replacement.
He said, “No, it wasn’t because of that, even prior to that people have mocked me over the disability. For me, I would say it was just a coincidence. I was supposed to leave for Germany the next day after the concert, and I even told KOD about it before I mounted the stage to perform. You know knee replacement wouldn’t be just one-day arrangement of a sort, even acquiring visa and the rest. So we’ve planned it over and over with respect to that replacement, it was just a mere coincidence”.
