Odotobri Rural Bank Limited at Jacobu in the Amansie Central District of Ashanti Region,has for the past 11 years been consistently awarding bursaries to brilliant but needy students in the communities in which the Bank operates.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Mr S.B Ahmed One of the reasons the Bank delights in granting bursaries is to develop these young minds who have the potential to become our future leaders in diverse sectors.
We have watched several industrious individuals emerge in the Bank’s catchment area, owing to its commitment to education and the consistent funding of education. This year, the Bank received some 201 applications,out of which 145 students were selected
after a thorough vetting by the Scholarship Committee.
The selected beneficiaries are freshmen and continuing students from various Senior High Schools, Nursing and Teacher Training Colleges as well as universities and are pursuing varied courses. A total of GH¢47,500.00 in bursaries is being awarded to the students.
The categorization of beneficiaries is as follows:

The Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Mr. Siaka Baba Ahmed and the Board Chairman, Mr. Bernard Asamoah-Boateng in the company of the Vice Board Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Osei Owusu and other Management Members presented the cheque of GH¢47,500.00 which was received by Mr. Ogoe Kingsford of University of Cape Coast on behalf of the students.
The Board and Management of the Bank congratulated the beneficiaries and also wish to acknowledge the guardians, teachers and families of the students for their continued support and their roles in developing the potential and shaping their character and values.
